I have a problem with my 95 dodge lift pump. The truck is running fine but it is dripping diesel fuel from the lift pump. When the engine is running and you barely push the primer it will put out a steady stream of diesel from the left side of the pump. The lift pump is less than 30k miles old.

1. Is there a way to fix the leaking lift pump?

2. How and where are the bolts to remove the fuel filter.

It's most likely the push button O ring. You can remove the button with the lift pump in place. Be carefull because it's plastic. Take the O ring to NAPA and get the closed match from their O ring box. It's about 50 cents.

Do you just wiggle the plastic plunger out?

It is screwed in so just unscrew it.

O.K. I got it out and the o-ring is fine but the lower press in type seal that the plunger goes thru is bad.It has a rip in it. Is there a replacement for this seal or does cummins offer a plunger repair kit?

I don't know. When mine leaked it was the O ring.
