Hi I'm in the process of getting my 93 5 speed cummins back into working order. I would like to give it some more power at a reasonable price. I'm getting gauges and an exhaust system for it. what else can you guys recommend i do? MPGs are a concern of mine as well with these upgrades.

thanks

Well easy upgrades are fuel pin ,366 spring and a different turbo n exhaust housing that would do you pretty good for a while . As for mpg that is controlled by the right foot .

Hungry diesel lift pump.
Grind your stock fuel pin or buy one.
3200 rpm spring.
He351 or an s360 (60/68/12 wg).
clutch.
5x12 injectors.

Assuming you're already getting 4" exhaust.

Depending which turbo and which clutch you get that's anywhere from about $1600 to a max of $2600 but it's a good setup.

Turning up the pre 94 Ram diesel injector pump Free mods.

You need to drill some holes into the front of your stock air box if your still using it, it's very restrictive.

As long as you tune with your starwheel after doing mods it will help eliminate excessive smoke. Don't mess with the smoke screw it won't do anything for performance.

If your truck has over 200,000 miles on it the injectors should be rebuilt or replaced.

Use a diesel fuel conditioner that lubricates, it will help your IP and injectors last longer.
