I have a 01 2500 and it’s time for new injectors because one has a cracked tip. I’ve been wanting to get bigger injectors to be able to get a little more power out of my motor. A buddy told me that I could just take my stock injectors and put a 75over rebuild kit into them and everything would fit fine. I’m just looking to see if anyone has any input on this or even know if it’s possible to do before I take them out and try to rebuild them.
I would get a new set from a builder. you can just put new tips on them, but then you need to get them pop tested and replace any other worn items. Often times it is easier to just get a new set. vp injectors are cheap.
I don't like using nozzles and a shop to rebuild as there are multiple businesses involved. In the event there is an issue with either the rebuild side or the nozzle's themselves you now have 2 parties that could point fingers at each other leaving you in a place without a running truck.
you want to buy something from a party that will stand behind the work / item. buy it all from 1 place.
