I have a 01 2500 and it’s time for new injectors because one has a cracked tip. I’ve been wanting to get bigger injectors to be able to get a little more power out of my motor. A buddy told me that I could just take my stock injectors and put a 75over rebuild kit into them and everything would fit fine. I’m just looking to see if anyone has any input on this or even know if it’s possible to do before I take them out and try to rebuild them.

I would get a new set from a builder. you can just put new tips on them, but then you need to get them pop tested and replace any other worn items. Often times it is easier to just get a new set. vp injectors are cheap.

New Bosch RV275's are 40hp +. They're cheap and reliable and will yield a small increase in mpg.

I've done it both way: I bought some 50hp injectors from DAP and then a few months later bought some 100hp nozzles from them and had a local shop rebuild the used bodies I provided. They put the 100hp tips on, popped tested them and charged 25.00/injector if I remember correctly.

I don't like using nozzles and a shop to rebuild as there are multiple businesses involved. In the event there is an issue with either the rebuild side or the nozzle's themselves you now have 2 parties that could point fingers at each other leaving you in a place without a running truck.

you want to buy something from a party that will stand behind the work / item. buy it all from 1 place.

There is no body work done at that HP level. You can install just nozzles, but you will not have matched pop off so timing will essentially vary between cylinders.

We use computer controlled machines to pop test our injectors. They are hand assembled and our nozzles are EDM then Honed then flow matched. Injectors over 125HP usually have extra needle work/ tip mods done to increase responsiveness and flow.

Happy to answer any questions for you.
