Hey Guys,
I having my HRVP44 installed this week. I want to put some injectors in also. I have concerns with high EGT's,also have stock turbo what do you suggest. Thanks:banghead:

I suggest waiting to upgrade injectors until you can afford a bigger turbo. No sense in getting small injectors now if you plan on going bigger later.

The biggest injectors I would run on a stock turbo is a set of 100hp sticks, but if you tow a lot you will have to watch the pyro.

No I will not be towing much with the truck...what will the difference be with egt's between the 75hp - 100hp injectors with normal daily driving...also hear my idle may surge with the hrvp44

Your EGT's won't be much different between the two...maybe 50 degrees. I can't comment on the surging at idle though as I have never had an HRVP.

How much power to you want make ultimately? That will decide what turbo and injectors you will need as a base to your setup.

The HRVP won't surge at idle. It will lope just a little bit every once in a while. I'll see if I can find a vid of what it'll sound like.

I would like to reach approx 450hp...so what turbo would you recommend..I will be adding an edge or adenaline after I get my tranny done at the end of the month

HX 40 or 62/12 S300 or a hybrid 35/40 and some 100/125 sticks

You can get a pretty good deal on a used HX 40, as a matter of fact I have one for sale with the downpipe. As far as a 62/12--??? I have never purchased one. I currently have a BD super B special and really like it, but have never used a bd super b turbo. (one is smaller than the other). IF you were going the 100 hp stick path, I don't know that i would go with the super B special, I have never ran that combo, but with my 150's they work pretty well together. Just do some searching through high tech turbo, pdr diesel, and a few other websites, you will get to know the turbo prices pretty well.

HX 40 will definately keep those cylinders cool with 100's, but if you have the stock turbo now, it will be laggier than what you have. It will take some getting used to while driving.

With no fueling box you shouldn't have any issues with a set of 100hp sticks and a HRVP. And daily driving there won't be a difference. Every injector I've run (50-240hp) have all ran the same egt's daily driving. WOT or towing is a different story though. But I wouldn't be worried running the 100's with no box and towing.

well i have a similiar setup as you if 100s with a hrvp is a very good setup with 100s hrvp and quad boostfooler on stock hx35 set to 38psi i di 420-430hp and 870-890tq this is a very strong setup since the hrvp is already turned up electronicaly if you dont plan on getting a new turbo very soon dont waste money on a fueling box yet just pic up a boost fooler so it doesnt defuel my truck defuels at 3300rpms and goin thru the gears at 75mph im pegging a 1600deg pyro but im not worried about temps that high since im not running any timing just the hrvp my turbo has seen these temp and boost a few times a day and for 15,000miles no problems no shaft play what so ever there is a slight lope and idle can hardly hear it and mine lopes when releasing the clutch when taking off
