68rfe valve body

I need to replace the valve body in my 08 68rfe transmission. Any recommendations on a good place to buy one other than the dealer, also is there any good instructions or videos on changing it. Doesn't sound to hard but it always nice to have something to fall back too. Thanks in advance!!

Tow/hd valvebody from revmax. And there is either a thread or I have emails from transengineer on how to do it somewhere ill have to find for you.
Does the revmax valve body fit right in to replace oem or or do you have to make other changes or adjustments
Nope bolts right in, took me bout 3 hours taking my time, first time ever. Highly recommend it.
Revmax valve body worked wonders for my 68rfe!!
How does the Revmax VB work with stock units and no software on the trans? I am at his point now and also looked at the Revmax. I am not wanting a race tranny or hard shifting. i am just merley trying to make it last for another 30,000 or so. Oe Trans has 174,xxx on it now.
What year is your truck , mine is an 07 and I was having problems with overheating, the new models have a better valve body and should be fine. Either way a revmax will be an upgrade.

It will work fine, it just will not give you any additional holding capacity without OD software or our pressure box.

Mine is 08 and I am having an overheating issue which causes it to hang in 1st and 4th.

Do a couple of searches, one for valve body and one for P0871 and you'll find the instructions from transengineer.
Sounds like a classic valve body problem
