Getting ready to service the transmission filters soon and also picked up a replacement Dorman pan with drain plug (265-870), has anyone used one of these yet?

I have not heard the best things about them and we quit selling them. I would recommend one of the deep aluminum pans. This will keep transmission cooler and also adds more fluid. One other good thing is it makes the case stronger also.

I had one with no problems for a about a year and half. I then went to the deep aluminum PML pan. There is quite a difference in price however. I think I paid $35 for the Dorman pan. The deep aluminum pans are about 10x that much.
Hope this helps

Another option if you are just looking for a drain plug is to install the linked product. It'll also allow you to install a temp probe in the pan
