Just for sh%$# and grins I was wondering if there was even a remote possibility that a 68rfe can be turned into a 68rh? I thought it might be a good deal for us first gens to have a slushbox 6 speed.

I dont believe itd be possible to turn a fully electronic transmission into hydraulic. Im sure youd need some stand alone controller and i dont think they have one out.

it'd be really coolif you could. I think if you could get a full manual valvebody and a lockup torque converter it might work as you can do something like that to 47re's but i'm not positive

I don't know if all the 6 sp autos are done this way, but all the ford one does is use the same basic configuration the 518 has and split the shifts with the od compounder.

1, 1 over, 2, 2over, 3, 3over,

The ratios are wrong to be able to do it well with the 518 though. It would go 1 = 2.45, 1 over (2.45 x .69)=1.69, 2= 1.45, 2 over (1.45 x .69) = 1.005, 3 = 1, 3 over (1 x .69) = .69

The ratios would need to start deeper and be graduated slightly differently.
