Has anyone had the tranny removed and inspected for the hard shift when you take your foot off the accelerator? Trying to see what the outcome could be. Star case was opened and had one relearn done so far. Any input would be appreciated never had a new truck with 6k miles have to get the tranny removed and inspected.

Having the same issue on my 1 week old truck (bought it new). Hard, noisy, jerking, downshift from 4-3 most notably. Taking it in later this week to have the "relearn" done.

Has either of yor trucks had the "PCM update" done? I just got my new '13 68rfe truck on Saturday, April 2013 build, and there is a sticker under the hood that the PCM was updated (while sitting on the lot for sale) in July.

I'm not sure what the PCM update # was, it's written in black marker and smeared. Ill see if I can decipher it tomorrow.

Some have reported a reflash or reprogram has helped significantly with the bugs on the 68R tranny.

I know some of reported the "relearn" helps. For me twice, no dice.

Now if there is actually an software update that changes shifting patterns, I'm all ears. My dealership wants to open a starcase too.

Dealer called today chrysler is renting me a car while my truck has the transmission removed and inspected! Scheduled for Dec. 2 I will post once I find the results!
