Definitely not exceed 250 degrees

Anything between 130 and about 220 has been 'normal' temps for mine, there are a ton of factors with the 68 that make specifying normal operating temperature difficult.

Just driving empty, in the summer, mine runs at about 140. Pulling our 8,000 lb travel trailer with an extra 1,000 lbs in the back, it will run at 165 on the flat and 185 on a tough hill. My sensor is in the pan.

I see 135 to 150 street/freeway unloaded. 165 to 180 towing and have seen as high as 225 offroading before i stopped the truck to let the trans cool. All from my edge/attitude.

These trans make a lot of heat with the TC unlocked at slow speed. I'm looking to install a seperate trans cooler with fan before I head off road for long periods again.

Mines runs in town (not towing) around 130-150ish. Maybe a bit higher if I have lots of stop and goes.

When I towing, in town with stops and goes, it has climbed up to 230 before... but the moment I hit the open road, it drops back quickly to 160-180 range.

This is towing 15-16k lbs.

Now if I am on some steep climbs, etc.. it will go up to around low 200's... but the moment I am on open road it drops right back.

Never feels like its slipping, etc.. nor has the fluid ever smelt burnt either.

I never manually shift it when towing a load, I left the cruise control/auto pick where it wants to be at.
