I have a 2007 2500. Right now it has 35x12.5r20 on it with a 3 inch leveling kit. Looking at putting a 6 inch suspension lift on it. Does any one have any pics of a truck with 6 inch lift with 35x12.5r20???

I just put a six inch on mine, but I am running on 22's. I could only fit 35'' rubber because the wheels only came in one width and I couldnt turn the wheel all the way without the tires hitting the fender. Otherwise, with 20's, you should have no problem putting 37's with your 20'' wheels. I didnt realize how tall a 6'' lift would be, looking back I would have just went with a 4 or 5''. Anyhow, you can see my truck pics in my profile. Hope this helps.

Follow around the thread below. There is another one on here but that ones pretty good. Most all lifted trucks here are 6" with 37's. If You have the money Carli and Thuren are highly recommended for ride quality.
A 6 inch is where the control arms are really getting to a steep angle. The ride will be rough. Long arm lifts help alleviate that problem.
Bilstein 5100 shocks are liked by all excluding more time off road trucks.
Variable rate coils are a huge increase in ride quality because the are soft for the small road bumps but stiffen up after more compression.

I don't like most 6 inch with 35's. 37 look right to me.

I just ordered a Top Gun Customs 3 1/2 with a front and rear 1 inch spacer for 4 1/2 total. They use variable rate coils and I opted the basic Bilstien 5100's. I would recommend an adjustable trac bar of your choosing. I run 35's now.

Another thing to remember:
Although Carli may be the best suspension you have to look at the options. Many will tell you it's the best and you need it no matter what for a smooth ride but the reality is they never list which valving they have or how much time in what type of off road they drive. The shock valving is the key to best ride along with the hardware geometry and spring rate. If you bought some stage 6Baja style $9,000 lift it would suck on the street.

Check out the thread for lift and tire combo's.
Most aftermarket wheels have 4 1/2 inch back spacing factor is 6 1/2 on 9 width. That's what puts the wheels 2 inches outward but it also contributes to an already weak front end. Good luck.

I know there are many, many, many heavy dodge trucks out there running around on 6" lifts. Mine was also until I just couldn't stand the horrific ride quality, steering issues, and DW. But it did look good, and was cheap to add, relatively speaking. Most 6" lift kits do not adequately address the needed geometry change requirements in the front steering and suspension, as mentioned below with the comment about the control arm length, only to name one. I am not dogging BDS, Procomp, Skyjacker, and the others who do make some good lift systems for IFS 1/2 ton trucks etc. I just don't think they have what it takes to properly suspend our big 3/4 and 1 ton solid front axle rigs.

I am not going to try to sell you on a full blown $12K Carli, Thuren, or Kore suspension system, there are are other threads that can do that better than I could in one post. Nor do I want to hijack your thread and turn it into yet another Carli/Thuren/Kore thread. I only want to say that there are some of us out there that went with a run of the mill 6" lift kit, for the looks and the tire clearance, and the result was a disaster.

I pick mine up from R&R Offroad tomorrow with a complete Carli/King/Deaver/PSE suspension rebuild front and rear. I will have a used 6" BDS lift kit for sale, including dual steering stabilizer, factory rear leaf springs, and many other factory suspension components as soon as I get it all home in the back of my properly, bullet proof, suspended truck.

Good luck!

I just read my post again.
I need to add Carli, Thuren, or Kore Are extremely reputable and will build you an excellent lift to accomadate your driving style.

I also need to add you would be far better off to get adjustable control arms.

D-SUL-PWR how wide is the tire your running? I have the same Nittos I have been highly impressed with them. Damn good looking truck. What type of lift did you have put on?
Thanks Zack. My Nitto's are 13.50. Yeah they are pretty awesome! I only got to drive on them for about a thousand miles, I work overseas and had to come back to work. Looking forward to getting home and gettin' back behind the wheel! I am not real crazy about them being only 35's, but had to have those wheels. Anyhow, good luck with your build man.

Thread from the dead. LOL.

Still good to know what the OP ended up with and how you liked it?

I'm not content with my ride but not disappointed once I got the right control arms.
