So ive decided im going to be selling my very clean rust free 2007 6.7. To hopfully replace it with a equally as clean 2nd or 3rd gen with a 6speed. As i am prowling fb market place to see whats local... Quite a few 6.4 powerstrokes popped up and i couldnt help but to ponder. If any one buys these things any more? High school kids that want a diesel to roll coal and have 3ft offset tires? As they are cheap and people practicly give them away. Also makes you wonder if its just the same trucks , getting sold and traded over and over to the next victom. Hmmmmmm

They are great Cummins swap candidates :) Comfy cab, solid trans and strong suspension.

I don't see why you'd get rid of that truck either tbh. There are still plenty of options out there for tuning, just not openly discussed.

I would buy a 6.4 if it came from someone reputable and was already gone through. otherwise I'd be scared to death of one. they're like the early v10 tdi engines of the ford world.
The amount of power they have with just a tune is unrivaled... Very fun when they run.

68rfe and head gaskets are a known 6.7 problem.
With early H&S tuning, yes. Even so, common sense goes a long way - we are not in 2011 anymore

Keep up on the service and don't hammer on it in 5-6th and you should get years of trouble free miles. Your a step ahead having 3.73's.

I suggest you watch this if you haven't before.

The prior years are not without fault by any stretch of the imagination.
