Overkill? Maybe... Been doing this since around 100k but not all aligned to the 50k interval (250k, 300k, 350k etc) on the odometer until 250k. I allows me to not have to think about when a service is due and have peace of mind that the truck needs nothing until that next interval of either 10k (oil & fuel) 25k (3 um filter) or 50k (all of it)

Did the trans fluid swap today, very minimal debris on the magnet. 140k+ miles on the bearings, unknown on synchros. Bearings are still quiet like new, synchros still kinda notchy... (Been that way since day one of swap). Really no change to them. Used 4qt 75w-90, 3qt synchromax and 1qt lucas...

Damn , I used to think I maintained my truck pretty good, guess not ! Lol !
Right now here’s my list
Front diff RP 75-140 275k “freespin kit so doesn’t really get used in my mind “
Rear diff RP 75-140 175k mag-hytec cover
Trans RP max atf 191k mag-hytec DD pan
Engine oil delo 15-40 mopar filter every 10k
My fuel filters get changed on a pressure basis , idle is 12-13 psi once it drops to around 7 psi I start to see mpg suffer so that’s where I change at . Last change was around 60k

Don’t forget to flush your brake fluid. Every 100k or 5 years. Brake fluid is hydroscopic and absorbs water. Water boils under high pressure & causes internal corrosion.
One fluid many overlook until they need to bleed the brakes after line or caliper change.

I used to run the ff 5320 but this last time I went to the Donaldson dbf 5814 , my ws is the fs1212 . I change it first and see what the pressure does , usually it’s 2-1 change

Yeah I did not catch the brakes missing the flush part... fixed it. Thanks for pointing that out.

My 04.5 only take 11 quarts. Is there really 3plus the hot shots with the amsoil add on?

My first oil change i did 12 quarts per the manual and had to drain a quart to bring it within the dipstick. Also, wouldnt have thought the amsoil thing was 1.5 quarts.

Does your truck have a leveling kit on it? If so that will change oil level on dipstick.

It does but it hasnt affecting the trans fluid level nor has it changed anything on any other vehicle i have leveled before.

No sir, it won't change the reading on the dip stick but maybe a mm. My son refuses to check his oil level on any incline for this exact same reasoning and I just can't seem to get him to understand it either. LOL

It does but it hasnt affecting the trans fluid level nor has it changed anything on any other vehicle i have leveled before.

I know a couple of ex Mopar techs now self employed. They drain the oil for 15 minutes, fill the new filter and add the balance of the three gallons in there. My reads over too as do most but that's the spec.
