They list it for $13.65 a quart here:

Dodge 5.9 Diesel 88-03 auto trans rplmt

I need to know how much it holds also. With a little luck I will get the 5 spd in the truck this weekend. :peelout

On mine the book say's to use 75W-90
Synthetic.
Never needs changing.
Thats what my owner manual say's.

I'm guessing at least a 3 quart capacity.
You fill it until it shows up at the fill hole.

400,000 miles on my stick and gears still turn.:thumbsup

No its actually 4 quarts, I just did mine couple months ago. Also be very cafeful what you put in there. The wrong fluid can wreck havoc on the syncro's. Good luck with it.

Run only Castrol Snytorg LT. Dont be cheap and pay the $25 a bottle for it. It takes 4 quarts, and a little extra doesnt hurt but youll have to pour it in from the shift tower.
If you dont use the right stuff it wont shift properly and will usually eat the syncros, bearings and gears. Ive seen some oil burn up to a tar like substance causing the tranny to run dry.

The link I posted is for a NV4500 manual. That link is for an auto to manual conversion and the oil is what you need for the new manual tranny. :thumbsup

I get mine at the local dealer for about $16 a quart... I change mine about every 60-70K miles which is early but mine is rather dark by then...

It holds a full gallon worth of oil...:w:

Haven't I read that some people add an extra quart or something to these things? To keep one of the gears lubed better or something like that. Maybe I'm completely wrong or maybe a different tranny.
