I was wondering what you guys on here like better. a built automatic trans. or a 5 spd. manual with a clutch. Can someone on here who has owned one of each or has been around both tell me which they like best. the truck is just an everyday driver i have driven a 5 spd with a clutch but never been around a built auto. thanks

Its totaly personal opinion

Although clutches that hold 800+hp can be a handful in busy traffic

id say its personal too. if its just a daily driver it matters if you want to be shifting all the time or just cruisin.

For pulling or for racing??? As far as everyday driver its pretty much personal opinion. I get bored driving automatics, but I couldn't watch my wife tear up my last manual so I had to ditch it :(

depends what you are doing and where u are driving.....personally i love driving stick but you cant beat a really built auto at the track unless you are crazy fast at shifting. but it really is personel oppinion. also, if you are driving in traffic every once in a while, a big dual disk might be makin your leg cry

Depends on what the truck is going to be doing. If you want to race with it then an billet auto would most likely be the best idea cause on average autos are quicker. But if you are towing or want very good fuel economy then do it yourself shifting is the way to go
