4x4 light does not come off

So I have a 2012 ram 2500 6.7 Cummins with the 68rfe auto tranny. It’s the ST model, with the manual 4x4 lever. So I recently used my 4x4 through it back into 4wd boom it locked in used it and put it back into 2h. My dilemma is that the light on the dash will not come off while I’m 2h. But when I put it back into 4wd the light comes off..? What happened and how do I fix it...? Please and thank you.
