So I bought the truck with the 4x4 not working when code is brought up says internal error. Most of the time this is referred to as the transfer case control module, so here is my problem. I have replace the module twice with a fresh flash also installed a new selector switch and 4x4motor. All of the transfer case harness is good has good ground polarity and volts...And it still throws the code all it does is the switch flashes then service 4x4 comes on. what's going on anyone ells ever have an issue like this, need a new place to start looking over it.

You have diagnosing to do if you've already put parts on and it didn't fix it.
I'm looking at a service manual. From what I see, I would suggest you get a hold of one too. It's fairly extensive.

What do you mean buy fairly extensive and the code keeps coming up for the module...and i have allready had it replaced twice.

I think he means there is a lot to diagnose, otherwise it can be real expensive,
if you go thru deep water i have seen wires/connectors short under truck
that is where i would start.
you can also pull electric acuator off transfer case see if you can manually put in 4wd to make sure your case is not mechanically fubar
IIRC there is a relay in tipm for tcase motor to check

That it may not be the module but a fault somewhere in the circuit. Could be connector pins, wires, the switch, even the TIPM. Without running the series of diagnostics (voltage testing through the circuit) you cannot eliminate or pinpoint the source of the problem. Yoy may have a voltage problem elsewhere that kills the tccm. You could have bad signals being sent and read but the tccm is good. Diag will determine that. Follow the diag flowchart to deduce the problem.

I just got the serv 4wd error code, ran the scan came up with internal error from the scan no number code.
Mines an 04.5 electronic transfer case, I would like to know we're the relay is for the transfer case also.
