So I have a 03 dodge ram 2500 RWD with a new 06 (ttva) transmission in it. It all hooks up the same, about 2k miles into it a trans cooler line popped off making me loose all my trans fluid. Now that that was fixed I noticed under light throttle and mostly when the trans in higher in temp the truck like jolts back and fourth or slips repeatedly going into 2nd. Now this has lead me to think a bunch of different things that could be wrong. Either my discs are burned up, my solenoid is bad, something is wrong with my valve body. If you know what the problem is please let me know!

Have you verified fluid is at proper level? Check at operating temp in neutral on level ground.

Have you readjusted bands after fluid loss?

Have you tried using manual gear select?

We refilled the trans with the proper amount of fluid, I will check again to see the level then I will go from there but it likes to shift into 3rd around 2800 rpm which I dont think is right.
