i am rebuilding the trans in my dads truck. its an 04 vin c its the earlier 04. i ordered the parts from patc. got just the basic rebuild that upgrades a few things nothing major. well got it all apart and started going back together ran into an issue getting the clutches back into the rear drum. well first off the kit seems to be missing a steel. the stock stack has 4 fibers and 3 steels. my kit has 4 fibers and 2 steels?! i had an extra steel from the front pack because of the way they do the "power pack" it measured the same thicknew as the other 2 steels and was setup the same so i thought id just use it. but with all 4 fibers and 3 steels the snap ring wont go in. its suppossed to go in and have .025-.040 of play but mines so tight it wont even clip in place. i tried callin patc but they are closed for the weekend. i was really hoping to have this thing back together this weekend. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

You have the belvivle (coned) spring wrong, piston not fully installed, or the snap ring and spacer misinstalled. Did you put the wrong pressure plate in. The raised area must contact the belvivle spring. If you took four out, four must go in. Have you used front clutches which are thicker?
