Driving home tonight all was well when all of a sudden, my truck felt like it was dying. Trans temp light came on and felt like the truck went down to 1st gear. Was able to get home doing 15-20mph at 1800-2000rpms. Tranny temp according to my gauge was less than 150* and boost wouldn't go higher than 5psi.

oh and ill add, that when I park the truck or at least go to neutral, truck revs fine and idles just like it should. no codes according to my diablo, but I don't really trust that.

on other thing I find funny, but might be helpful info is: when I come to a stop and get on the throttle, the truck pulls for a second, boost climbs quickly and then falls on its face and doesn't shift out of first

Remove the programmer and all that stuff. Put her back to stock. See what happens.

that's what I plan on doing in the morning, just seems odd it would do it all of a sudden. I mean ive had the turner on the truck for a couple years now with no issues at all

I would check the trans relays in the fuse box. When I sent mine into limp mode I didn't have any codes either. I blew the overdrive relay and was stuck in 3rd gear, not fun at all. It was all of the sudden as well, was passing an 18 wheeler and kicked itself out of overdrive and I knew something was wrong, pulled over and thats when I realized it was stuck/defaulted to 3rd gear.

Swapped the relay out with the heater mirror on. Didn't fix it. Took the tunes out, didn't fix it. Flat bed is on it's way now to tow it to mass diesel who built my tranny. Yay! I love spending money

I had my transmission do this to me, I melted the torque converter fins, basicaly labotomized it! I drove it home, wouldn't shift above forth gear. Shut it down, figured I'd drive it to the shop in the morning. Got in it, started the drive to she shop, couldn't get over 2nd gear and 35mph. Then a mile from the shop lost everything, had to put it in 4x4 low to get it to move the last mile! Suffice it to say that was #4 Stock transmission.

Well my low fuel light was on when I was coming home last night which isn't anything I have dealt with before. So before I let the tow truck take it today I put 5gal in. Took the truck for a spin n it seemed better. Was able to get up through the gears but still acted up.
Maybe I have water in the fuel?

very well could be, when if ever have you opened your drain for your water seperator? i always try and fuel up at busy stations, to eliminate or help midigate bad fuel.

So just got my truck back from mass diesel and turns out it had nothing to do with the tranny or fuel... Kinda strange the trans temp light came on but whatever it is a dodge after all
Ended up being my speed sensor. Had a broken wire at the harness and corroded sensor.
Then on the way home I thought my tranny was slipping cause the truck felt very sluggish but then remembered I was still in the stock tune :)

Wish I would have seen this sooner. Could of saved you some dough. I had this exact same thing happen to me as well 2 months ago. All symptoms the same. I had a code pop up however telling me it was the speed sensor. Stopped at NAPA and got the part for $20 and about 5 minutes to put in. Just curious, how much did shop charge you to put it in.

$48 for the part and $100 for the diagnoses repair. There rate is 100/hr so couldn't fight them on that.
If I had known that's all it was I would have had no problem fixing it.
