I know the topic has been covered before but I can't seem to find any answers. The 47rh doesn't want bolt up to my '90 engine. It seems like the TQ converter is hitting the flexplate before the bellhousing hits the adapter on the engine. I'm positive that the converter is in all the way :confused013:

You will need a second gen Motor Plate it's Thicker then a first gen motor Plate because of the wider torque converter .

12 or 24 valve doesn't make a difference on the engine adapter. Both engines use the same one. You will need a 2nd gen starter also.
