I just recently purchased this truck and the other day my brother and I were fooling around with it and got it stuck while it was in 2 wheel drive. I put it into 4 wheel drive and nothing happened. A guy that stopped to help us out said that some trucks need to either roll forward or backwards a little to engage the 4 wheel drive. Is this the case and is there anyway to change it, or is there something wrong with my transfer case or something. Once we got it out, it would go into 4 wheel drive once it rolled forward a little.

I had issues with my 4x4 and it was the vacumn actuator on the front axle. They have replacements so you can do away with the vac and go to cable actuated

It helps to roll it a little to get the splines to line up. Mine works every time if I roll it just 6"

thanks, i didn't know if something was wrong with it or not. I have always had smaller import 4x4's and never had that happen.
