Not totally. 03 was a split year for the transmissions. The earlier years, and SO, have the 47RE. The later years and HO engines have the 48RE. Find out which engine you have and there you go.

The HO have a 48re look on your valve cover if you have 305hp its HO also it should say in your glove box witch trans you have and the last way is in the Vin #
8Th digit will be a "C" for the HO and a "6" for the SO

if you want to crawl under you truck you can look at a electrical plug you can find out quick and easy.

driver side right in front of the shift linkage there will be an electrical plug. if its a round 3 plug its a 47re, if its a rectangular 5 plug its a 48re. but im sure you have a 48re.

Are you saying you have a 3 wire plug in your truck?

HO's were all 48RE's, SO's before 01-03 were the only production 47RE trucks. No need to crawl under truck.
