Ok so how much is too much before I should have to worry about head studs and maybe a fire ring. I had my van akens turned up half way and I say 40 psi out of it? 40 shouldn't hurt but what will?

35 psi at a long period of time is all HX35's on 2nd gens the new turbos, i wouldn't let it stay over 40 very long, or you will be looking for new turbo.

You won't need rings on a 3rd gen. and your turbo will give up before you need studs.

Thats what I like to hear. So as long as I have the stock turbo I am good.

Yeah the common rails have very good gasket and bolts, as Brian said up to 60psi without too much drama. If you are going to push 60psi often then studs would be a good idea.

Are you having problems with rail-pressure? With 90hp sticks you should opt for a good single CP3. There are guys on here with the stock CP3 running the same size sticks you have and dont have RP problems. I think you would be fine with a stage 2 or 3 single CP3 pump. And its about a fraction of the cost compared to dual cp3's.

Whats your wastegate set at? If youre getting enough fuel you should be able to get more out of that turbo. A good intercooler wouldn't hurt either.

Yeah i am having problem with the rail pressure now that i put the TNT tune on the smarty.. only reason i wanted to put dual cp3's on it was i had some big plans for in the future for it..

How big are the plans? I mean a good single pump can support into the 700s. Some more some less. I just don't want to see ya drop 4000 on duals and not really get anything out of them that a good single couldn't do for you. I mean I love helping people spend their money:T:, but I wanna seem them get something outta the parts.:thumbsup

I plan on running the s4t "Big Bro" under my silver bullet, bigger intercooler, fluid dmaper, head work, bigger set of injectors than i have(prolly180hp-200hp),ts mp-8,110lb valve springs, and a custom cam.. i figured the dual cp3's would be better with that set up...
