3 way switch wiring diagram

As I approach the install of my reverse LED lights, I'm thinking of plans on how to wire them in. Currently, I have a wiring harness which has a relay with wires to the cab and two to the actual lights themselves, and another to source power. The best idea I have thought of is to put in a three way switch with one position, most likely the flat way (best way to describe it...) being on with the reverse lights, then once rocked to either side it will either keep them off or have them on by my command.

Honestly, I have absolutely no clue how to wire it this way, but have seen it done before. Do any of yall know how to do this??

Also, if there is an easier way, I'd love to know!

Well I'm a electrician and I'm opting to do it the quick and easy way, for around 55.00 I ordered a wiring harness from rigid industries ( part #40192 found on eBay) this is what they use for their reverse lights so it has on/off/auto functions, comes with everything you including the switch and relay. Just think it's neater and easier than making my own harness.
