2nd gen swap with stock turbo?

Can I run my stock turbo with a 2nd gen manifold swap until I can afford a new turbo? Is it bad to run a non wastgated turbo?

You'll have to tack the wastegate shut in order to clock it. You won't have any problems with the stock turbo and no wastegate. And an aftermarket with no gate will be fine if you have studs so you don't blow a head gasket.

easy answer...yes, you can. Currently running my stock turbo with the swap. I will advise...know how you're going to mount your manifold before you order your downpipe. :thumbsup:

Im going to mount it whichever way will set me for an s475 compound later down the road.

that would be the "flipped" position. I would order the downpipe through stainless diesel for that one. :thumbsup:
