Hello, I'm new to the forum and thought you guys could help me out. I have a 6.7 with all the deletes and an H&S mini maxx. I was looking at getting a new turbo and not sure which way to go. I have to say that I do not race the truck or pull heavly loads, it is mainly a daily driver. I was looking at doing a 2nd gen manifold swap with a S400. Would that be a good idea? How would the truck spool and what egt's you think it would hit? Or should I get a 3rd gen manifold with an Industrial Injection Silver 66 turbo? Would the sound of the 2nd gen swap be worth the extra $$$ and time? Any information you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It's not just sound. It's spools better, which means its flowing better. Keeps the #6 cylinder cooler too. The 3rd gen manifolds suck. I can't wait to do my swap.

I would indeed. I was planning to get an S366 but have decided to go with an S400 charger instead. I believe they can take more abuse. Also I think the S300's are internally wastegated, but someone with more knowledge will chime in and correct me if I'm wrong lol.
An S467 or S472 would be awesome on your truck. S472 is what will be going on my brothers 6.7 in the future.
Don't forget about your trans! REVMAX makes some great stuff at an affordable price unlike most places. They also include a custom trans tune for your H&S with their trannys. Unless you have a standard then you just need a clutch and I'd recommend Valair, I have their clutch (AMAZING).

I keep editing this thing lol
Be sure to fill out your sig so we can better help you out and post up some pics of your ride!
Welcome to the forum, lots of great info on here!

Thanks for the info. I have the transmission tune from H&S but was thinking about a Suncoast TQ. I am in need of studs also. I thought about ARP 425 studs. I don't drive the truck at WOT so I trying to take it easy when i can With my stock turbo I have hit 40 PSI so I figure I could drive easy with my new turbo until I get some studs. Any comments would be appreciated.

Again check out REVMAX. We just bought a stage 4 TC and billet flywheel for a better price than those others TC's. I will let you know how it performs when installed.
Also the tune from them is a custom one better suited for a built tranny so it would replace it I assume. There's also custom tuning for H&S and Dave Matthews is the man for that.
Studs are a must on these 6.7's from what I hear. If you're not planning on going crazy with mods the 425's would be perfect

Are you going to be doing any fuel mods for it. How do you like lag. If you can deal with lag than any turbo will be fine pretty much. These 6.7 moves lots of air but it will still be a little laggy if you go with say an s472. If you don't like lag then I'm pretty sure an s366 will do just fine. What is your horse power goal for the truck?

A box stock S366 is non waste gated. Ive been looking into the same setup or an S467. Stainlessdiesel makes a whole kit for the S366 if your not piecing it together. From all my research just make sure you stay away from a T3 foot setup. Seems guys have been having problems with surging if towing on T3 setups. Source automotive is a good place to look for the S400 setups. They also have a whole kit for the S400 setups if your not piecing them together

I bought it in pieces when I had the money to spend I get everything from James at Rollin smoke diesel he has the swap done on his 12 and his customer service is great the only thing I didn't was my turbo I got 467 from forced inductions for 950 to my door.

At the moment I do not plan on doing any fuel mods. At some point I was wanting some 100hp nozzles but that is where I would stop. I do not want lag at all. I need it to be very driveable on the street. I have heard that the silver 66 from Industrial Injection is a great turbo for the 6.7. I am still leaning towards the S400. How does the S400 drive on the streets?

How do you like the h11 studs. I have heard they are better than the ARP 425 studs.

Like said above if you do S366 go with the .91 ar and you want a T4 foot. T3 is supposed to have surging issues as far as ive heard
