Could running 285 70R 17 on factory rims be a reason to deny warranty work on 2007 5.9 4x4 48re for the factory warranty or the Chrysler Extended maximum care warranty on a completely stock truck???

The truck came with 265R 70 17.

They should not deny warranty. I would be fighting mad if they tried!!

That's my train of thought also. The Powerwagon had a Hemi and I think that's the only difference. I'm not sure if the hemi had a 48re transmission.

Last week I purchased the 7yr 85000 mile Chrysler warranty and noticed in the fine print any alterations could void the warranty. I had 285's put on 10000 miles ago and had the computer reflashed to reflect 285 70 17 by the dealer on the tire change so they do have a record of it in their computer system. I don't think they would try to pull that on me but you never know.

Our local dealer sells may new Dodges with bigger rims and tires.
