I bought a 2014 4500 Cab and Chassis from my veterinarian. They had the engine go out when the bluedef sensor failed causing fuel system to over load it causing catastrophic failure pulling huge grade in the Utah mountains with a horse trailer . He had a shop install a 2014 2500 engine. They used everything the original truck came with except the long block. It’s also deleted it and it’s running well. So it works. I was told from a injector sales company that Dodge had made the computer now identify the correct long block and injectors.
The injectors are Different in the 2500/3500 than the Cab and Chassis as per my conversation with Injectorsdirect.com
They also said the computer on Rams after 2012 can identify the injectors correctly and adjust. Not sure about the older Rams if you would need the computer too? Contact them and ask...
