Congrats again to @the man in black as the April FOOLS challenge, turns out we all knew who the most foolish one on here was the whole time
This month is May, as such let's see you MAY the CUMMINS be with you, the contest this month is for Cummins Swapped vehicles. Show us the beginning and current status of your Cummins Swap. We do have some basic rules:
Members MUST have at least 20 posts
Unless otherwise stated you may submit up to 5 photos
Voting will take place the last week of the month
Feel free to PM me with ideas for future themes
Winners will receive:

Pict of the Engine, trans and t-case ready to install into the Ford. Picture of the Ford, sorry not a very good picture should have taken some before putting it in the garage.
I'd say 1 entry per person, but the single entry can include multiple trucks (5 picture max per entry)
Conversion does not need to be driveable, but a Cummins motor should be installed in at least 1 picture (even if just for fitment, but not final installation )
Original swap was done in 2012 just after I joined this Forum
That engine turned out to be a oil burner
A fresh engine was built and installed in 2016 along with a front suspension swap
Still have a use the truck today
Since its one submission per person (with a total of five pics max) and I've got two swap trucks, I'll just do two pics of each and link the build threads. Both build threads are kinda long, but if you just scroll through the pictures in the build threads, you'll get the idea of what's happened to both.
1st one; a 2010 F250. Was a 6.4 PSD, now has a 180hp P pump Cummins from a 97 Dodge. Pretty mild build, still running the Ford 5R110 automatic. It's now the daily driver of my 16 year old son.
Brought it home like this (because the 6.4 PSD was junk like most are).
Recently I traded around with a family member and acquired a pretty nice 2010 F250 four door 4x4 auto (the family member I got the truck from bought it brand new, so I know most of the history and at least who to blame). The 6.4L PSD in it most likely has a cracked piston (it runs, but it's...

2nd one; A 2005 Ford Excursion. Started as 6.0 PSD with an automatic, now has a 215hp P pump Cummins and NV4500 manual trans from a 96 Dodge. This is a little more extensive build than the first one. This one is .020 overbore with Mahle motorsports pistons, Colts cams stage three cam, Manton valve springs and an SXE 362 turbo.
Also towed this one home, although it did actually run.
Here's what it looks like under the hood now.
It's also been lifted, new wheels & tires and a custom homemade front winch bumper. All of which can been seen in the build thread below.
I originally picked up a complete 96 Dodge Cummins truck about a 1.5 years ago with the thought of fixing it. It had been sitting outside next to barn with a blown head gasket for over six years, but it was a 215hp P-pump complete truck for cheap, so I bought it. Turns out that beat down farm...

Both are running and driving well. The F250 has about 10-12K miles on it with the Cummins, the Excursion only has about 1K miles on it so far. Neither are "done", as there is always something else that I want to do.
...
@Antonm If you ever were to sell that excursion, i've got a buddy that would cream himself at the opportunity Up until cost comes up, because it's crazy how valuable those have become. He's been talking about how he wants one for the last year or two now but it's impossible to find within his budget. Gotta love a good swap though, especially when they turn out that clean
Yeah, Excursion's are priced high for some reason. I bought this one a few years ago when they were just expensive, not stupid expensive like now.
I still thought I paid to much for it, but I was looking for a very specific example. I was only looking for a 2005 year model, 4x4, diesel, in either limited or eddie bauer trim level, that was absolutely 100% rust free. So when I found one that met all those requirements that was also within a reasonable towing distance from the house, I overspent on it just to be done with the search. The only thing I'd change would be the color, this thing just has a lot of brown everywhere.

Started as a 1981 chevy k10, I wrecked it and planned on rebuilding and started with a new frame and axles, and it spiraled into a 94 12v swap with an nv4500 trans. Pretty basic stuff, and I'm far from done, but here's a link to the video of my first drive in her!
(I owe this forum and members a LOT of credit, also I had to throw in the 6th pic because my daughter cracks me up. And she likes the thing more than I do [emoji1])
Just a bump for anyone else wanting to make a submission, submissions will be open until the 24th when voting will become live, always good to see all the work that goes into these trucks
Here's my work-in-progress:
1978 Ford F-250 Ranger 4x4. My dad bought it when I was born in 1986, and gave it to me when I started driving in high school. I always loved the truck as a kid, have a lot of memories with it and I'm still creating more. Me and Dad have both taken good care of it and pretty much know it inside and out. It used to have a 400 v8 paired to a C6 auto. For years I planned on dropping in a 460, but never got around to it. Once I had the facilities to properly work on this thing, I had warmed up to the idea of putting a Cummins in it, so I found a 1994 2nd gen 12 valve with 285,000 miles, with NV4500 and a Dana 80 rear I could use too.
I rebuilt/re-sealed the Cummins, with great help from many here including GAmes, dauntless89, Destroked 450, and others.
I also have to thank many others who have done similar Cummins Ford swaps, including Antonm, ChaseTruck, Art, bryanmartin, co425, and many more. Without them having paved the way, I'd have never even contemplated this swap.
Here's a link to my engine rebuild/reseal thread here:
So, I've got a 12v donor from a 94 ram, that im looking to swap into my 78 f-250. While the engine is out, I'd like to replace every seal and gasket i can get too, except for the head gasket. The engine has about 285k miles on it. I found a guy online selling both Cummins oem upper & lower...
Hello everyone! I have a tendency to be a bit wordy, so I will try to keep this short & concise. I'm finally allowed to add pictures and links. I have a 1978 F-250 Ranger 4x4 truck, regular cab, 400 V8, C6 Auto, NP205 transfer case, Dana 44 front & 60 rear, 4.10 gears. Years ago, I originally...

Engine Swaps - Cummins 12v Diesel swap into my 1978 F-250 Ranger 4x4 - [EDIT] I guess I didn't realize that my images from postimage.org weren't working right on FTE this whole time. You're supposed to be able to click on those thumbnails and see a very large version of that pic in a new window...

Here's a photo of my Dad not long after he bought the truck in 1986. He built that custom bumper out of Indiana underground gas pipe.
Here's a picture I took of it when I was about 9 years old:
Here's a somewhat recent picture of it, before I started the swap:
Here's a picture of the rebuilt Cummins 12 valve I put in it:
And a picture of where it's at now:
And here's a short video of it's first drive, recently uploaded to YouTube:
@jason867 I kinda want to just declare you the winner based off how ultimately 80s that first picture is, but the ROTM is one of the things that we let democracy decide, good luck man!
Today is day one. Negotiations with my buddy who is selling me his 1994 F250 Single Cab Long Bed 4x4 for $3500 delivered. Truck only has 100k original miles however it doesn’t run. I’m ok with that because I plan on swapping to a 12 valve. I have tons of questions and am new to swaps...
I originally bought a 95 12V single cab from Copart back in 2012. The front frame horns were pretty bent, but i drove is live that for about 4 years. I then stumbled upon an early 98 extra cab body and frame roller. I bought the 98 roller and swapped in my 95’s engine, tranny, T case. Then about 2 years later a car pulled out in front of me and i T-boned it. It totaled out the truck big time. Thank God the 3 identical triplet girls in the T boned car didn’t die! The after quite a few years i decided to swap the Cummins into my 71 Ford Highboy. I’m getting closer to getting finished, but i’m still searching for the perfect radiator for my particular application (i want to have both an intercooler and an AC condenser WITHOUT having to trim back my grill).
All my Ford has ever seen is work. I installed a hydraulic dump bed years ago, and rarely does it ever see less than 4000lbs of weight in the bed (the most weight i’ve had in the bed was 4-3/4 tons)!
I absolutely loved my 95 cummins and i absolutely love my 71 Ford, so maybe it’s a match made in heaven?
Pre engine swap
engine snuggled into place
Where my 1995 12 valve originally came from. My buddy riding shotgun is hanging loose (not flipping the bird).
I then swapped that 95 engine and drivetrain into this 98 truck
Going to be hard to vote for just one. Might have to take my time.
