1st, I am a former '98 Cummins dually owner, wish I had never let it get away from me.

2nd, I am trying to help my cousin who just recently bought a 2015 Eco Diesel 4x4.

She left her truck at a daughter's home in upper NY and flew back home to Missoula, MT to handle business affairs.
When she returned to NY the truck would not start, jumped it off and now has a couple of issues.

The one that is most important to her is the Cruise Control won't Set.
The Cruise Light does illuminate, but the Set won't activate.

Had her disconnect the battery, put a charger on it and wait until it was charged to 13.6 V;
but she got overly anxious and took the charger off at 13.02V, then reconnected the negative post.

I have searched the web trying to find solutions, all that I found have not resolved the problem.
She is not afraid to learn new stuff, and has tried everything that I asked her to do.

The truck does have an Edge Monitor/tuner on it, which program she does not know.
I just called to verify if she has tried to get the cruise to set, with the Edge unplugged from the ODB port, alas, no answer.

I will make an Intro post later, in brief I have been the Admin of GoldwingFacts.com since 2006, which is another forum owned by Vertical Scope and using this same software as this forum does.
I have had, and do own diesel trucks, prior was a '98 dually 24V, current is a '02 7.3L Ford Excursion

Is there any ABS lights on? If so that can disable cruise control. Have you scanned for codes?

Start there, note what they are and try clearing them.

I asked her to go to O'Reilly's or AutoZone and have them Clear any Codes that might be showing.
She has not gotten back to me yet, she is probably in a "no cell service" zone right now.

No lights showing that I recall, she would have mentioned that:

No problem friend, at 80 years young, I don't remember the finer details anymore,
especially when I am Texting back and Forth trying to fix her truck.

I have started a Log for her truck, to keep the finer details, as it seems I am her 1st Responder when she gets in trouble....

she took it to a Dodge dealer in NY, they let it sit 3 days w/o even looking at it, then she got nervous after talking with me about that, they wanted $250 for diagnosis... she went back and drove it home because in NY the dealers report modifications, hers has a "Delete Option" of which I have forgotten. the Waste Gate?

She found a local mechanic "recommended by a neighbor" up in NY, horror story, he is stupid.

So, I am now her resource.

EDIT: as of this post, I reviewed my SMS messages to her, none of them have been "Delivered", we are both on Verizon and I get "Delivered" notations when it goes thru to her phone.

If its tuned have her re flash the tune if the battery died it could have corrupted some of the tune file loaded on the ECM

Neither she, nor I know how to do that.

I do not think the "tune" is in the ECM,
Because when the Edge Monitor is unplugged from the ODB port, her MPG drops way off.....

we went through that issue a month back, when her knee bumped the port plug, I asked her to remove it, plug it back in solid, and Zip tie up the harness so her foot does not do that again.

that fixed the MPG issue.

That makes no sense as it would have to be flashed to the ECM to do anything the edge monitor may just change the tune levels such as a Switch on the fly does

and I am in Oklahoma....

I obviously do not have hands on data to present to the forum.

I left her a Text Message to call me, so I can update with better info.
