I got a 2013 RAM mega cab with 68RFE with EFI live tune. when hot coming to a stop when going into first gear it stumbles like a hard down shift the will surge until I put in neutral and then put back into gear. If I am putting it in reverse it will surge back. Its got 129,000. Anyone else have this problem or have in site on a possible solution.

I assume you have checked the obvious like the fluid level?

I don't know what the problem is but will say turning up the HP and the 68rfe do not play well together unless you are real easy on it. Most likely a trans rebuild is in your future.

Fluid levels is what it sounds like. Check when hot.

That's what I was planning. Any good kits to recommend? Fluid level is good that was the first thing I checked. No other issues other than that
