I have a 2012 ram 3500. When I have my headlights on low beam all is good with no issues. But when I switch my high beams on after about 15-30 seconds my instrument panel lights up like a Christmas tree. There are several alarms come in but it happens so fast that I don’t get a chance to see what they are. Another thing that happens is that the headlights go out all together. All this happens in just a few seconds then they come right back on. Then it may not happen the rest of the time I’m driving. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Check your headlight switch for any sort of scorch or burn Mark's at the connection. Seems to be a that the switch itself shorts out and burns the connection. I keep seeing posts and pictures of those damn things all shades of fried.

I don't know about these Rams but my old 83 Ford F250 diesel high beams would shut off and come back on and the headlight switch was bad. They had some kind of fuse system that when over heated would trip out and when it cooled they would come back on. A simple fix to replace the headlight switch and the high beams worked correctly.
