I have a 2012 and was wanting to do some exhaust work bit was wondering if I put the exhaust on and ever need any warranty work done can I just bolt the stock exhaust back on so the dealer doesn't see exhaust work and void my warranty?

What some people have done is use sims to delete the dpf so that way it can easily be returned to stock

If you remove your DPF (no matter the fashion in which you do it-SIMS/Tuner/etc), there is NO guarantee that your dealer will honor your powertrain warranty.

They could always just look up the number of regen's and see its low based on other data on your trucks ECM. Bottom line if you 100% need/want your warranty to be in force.... Sadly you have to stay stock. (some dealers will work with you, but thats no guarantee)

You may wonder why in the heck so many people delete and toss their warranty out the window. Its because we know if we break it, we can fix it.
They can check your trucks computer and you will be void of your warranty anyway. You may get away with the bolt on of stock parts but only if they don't plug into the computer.

If you can't afford to loose your warranty I wouldn't do deletes. If you can afford to fix something in worst case scenario I would highly recommend doing the deletes.
The old Cliche'. If you're gonna play, you're gonna pay. It's dishonest to think that you can remove EPA required emissions equipment from your truck, have any kind of problem, and expect to put it back to stock and expect RAM to pick up the bill. :spank:
What tomeygun said, they can look it up to see how many regens the truck has had, so either way your screwed. A lot of guys opt to wait until the warranty is up before deleting, but the truck after deleting is a whole different animal. I have been deleted for 30k miles and have had zero problems.
Ok so since I can't delete just yet if I just put a tip on the end for a little bit more sound would that work?

Negative ghost rider. Exhaust Tip will not effect audible sound from your exhaust.
