Good day people!

I have a 2011 dodge ram 2500 slt with 6.7 Cummins 68RFE trans with tow package.

I'm trying to figure out if it has the high output or standard output. It has a badge on the tailgate that says high output put I'm the second owner so who knows if that's the original tailgate. I've looked on this forum to but no solid answers.

I've called a bunch of dealerships with vin number and they can't seam to give me a solid answer some say it is and some say its not. I even called Cummins they couldn't tell me either.

So is there another way to find out which Cummins my truck has?

Thanks guys!! Appreciate the replies. I checked both of those links you guys sent nothing says it has a high output.

But Lins link shows they introduced ho in February. My build date is June 24/11 it would be nice to know which one I got 🤔.

Everytime I enter my vin it just says 6.7 I6 Cummins Turbo Diesel?

The 68rfe is a dead giveaway that it’s not a HO.

Yeah my truck does have the 68RFE

Well I guess this tailgate with the high output badge is not the original tailgate then 😂😭 I still would like to know 100%
5.7 Hemi looks like you have a 2011 also? high output?

Mid year 2011 got the HO. It was a 68 with some "upgrades". I can't remember what they consisted of could have just been a torque convertor.
The new trucks the HO is with the aisin only I believe.

My build date is June 24/2011? Ugh 😣 so confusing lol I can't believe I can't get an answer from the dealer or Cummins. And that there is no visuals to tell the difference.

I'd guess you have the HO based on the build date. The tailgate is also a good indicator, not sure why you assume it's been swapped.

Isn't there a way to get the original window sticker?

I was told that the 2011 2500 didn't come with HO? I'm not the original owner of the truck unfortunately. Not sure where or if I could find the window sticker. I just want to know everything about my truck. Plus I was looking at getting a pedal commander and they don't make them for the HO Cummins.

You should have the HO with the 68RFE. The HO term was used again later on when the Aisin was introduced.

I'm hoping that's what it is. Would like to find out exactly.

No HO for me.

Also you can make an account on Mopar's website, add your truck to your "Garage", and then go to the equipment list, I noticed "High Output Badge" under the "Other" tab for my 2012.

The 800ftlbs is HO

So when it optional equipment does that mean equipment that's been added to the truck?

Check out this information, it says 2011.5 for the H.O. within 800 ft. lb. and the 68RFE.

By the looks and sound of it. I do have the HO Cummins. Now I know what I have which is good.
