I just got my truck about a month ago. I read about the torque increase on the 2010 6.7L with the software update. Is it possible and will Dodge do the update on a 07.5-09? I don't want to get an aftermarket tuner because I got the extended warranty...

I doubt it because they have made changes to the motor and tranny as they go. If I remember correctly they made a bearing or bushing change "to handle the additional tq" and there's been egr changes, exhaust sensor and some 68rfe changes. If you got it to work somehow I'd imagine it would be treated just like an aftermarket programmer as it is not stock/designed for that truck.

There's still stuff on the 4th gen that the aftermarkets haven't solved since things are different enough

The 2010 ECM is different than a 2008.

The torque increase happend in 2011.5 but it wouldnt work anyways like the above post different ecms
