I have a completely stock 2010 mega cab 3500 with 60,000 miles and no deletes.
From what I have read I can just unplug my egr and get better gas mileage with no worries of an overly plugged dp filter.
I understand that it will throw a code but if I plug the egr back in it will clear after a few restarts of the engine.
Is all this right?
I'm going into the dealer next week for an oil change, fuel filter change, cv vent inspection, and egr/intake flush ($550 by the way).
I was planning on unplugging the egr after my truck gets serviced and after I have clarified that I have the latest flash availabile.
Is there anything I am missing? It is very important that I take all precautions not to void my warranty or mess up my engine. Thanks!
