My driver side fog light needs replacement and the new light costs $155. The parts guy said that was because the replacement includes a new bracket but could not explain why. Is there a cheaper alternative? Any aftermarket sources that will allow me to replace the bulb and use the existing bracket at a much cheaper price?

You can get a pair of OEM foglights for $55 and it'll take you 10min if that to change it. Mine also needs replacing so I was looking around recently.

I can't decide whether to upgrade or not.

A pair of upgraded fogs is about $125.
