i am looking at getting a new 6.7 here in the next couple of weeks. the dealerships around here are giving huge discounts on the 2007.5's. are there any major improvements for the 2008's that would be worth the extra money? :$::$:

As far as Ive seen go with a 08. Hit and miss with the 07's with problems with the egr and dpf's.

Go with whichever you get cheaper.

I'd like someone to show me the difference in the 07.5 and the 08. The reason the 07.5 HAD more problems is because it was (obviously) released earlier. By the time 08 got around many of the problems were resolved with flashes and such. Any 07.5 you buy now will have the same flashes as an 08.

I'm not trying to be a smart :butt:. If there is a difference, by all means someone please show me.

if you get the 07.5 make sure it has all the current flashed done before you drive it, then it should be fine.

I agree with that, but make damn sure it is current on flashes. Remember, dealer will tell you anything. I've seen lot's of recent post here and other forums about people buying 07.5's, and problems occur just like when they first came out.
Just be careful is all I'm saying.

From my understanding the 7.5s had a different turbo than the 08. Flashes helped but mine had to be replaced. all warranty work. have had no probs since then

just the model year alone is worth 6 k.I would work the best deal on the 08. the 07 is worth less already. They would have to be 18k below sticker to persuade me. I got my 08 for 12 k below.

You can get a good price on either year, you just have to shop.

07.5 versus 08

Check the date of manufacture on the inside of the drivers door. Mine is a 6/07 and I believe that they had resolved most of the changes by then. I have had almost no trouble with mine and I use it as a daily driver, 9 miles one way, so I barely get it up to temp before I shut it off.:thumbsup
