So the ignition in my truck is kinda sticky and you have to fiddle with it for a second to get the key to work. I heard a few people say if you put pb blaster in it then that would free it up a bit and make it work better. So i tried doing that and now the key wont turn at all:banghead:. It always used to work after maybe 10 seconds of fiddling with it but now it wont at all. I know the steering wheel isnt locked i even tried moving it and that didnt work. Anyone have any thought??? Any help is greatly appreciated!

First, go beat the crap out of the guys who recommended PB Blaster on a ignition switch. Conductive and HIGHLY flammable.

If you were having to jiggle the key prior, you probably already had a tumbler in key way loose, and now it has jammed now allowing to turn.

Only option is a new key cylinder. Search on dorman key cylinder. You can find them for about 50 bucks. Comes with instructions on how to set the tumblers for your key.

Only problem you have is that the key must turn to easily remove the cylinder. It has to turn backwards to the ACC position then you can push a lock button on the steering column to get it out. I would get a new one and try to fiddle with the old one to get it out.

If it will not turn, you will have to drill it out

I second the new tumbler its just not worth the hassle. Ive hear through the grape vine that heavy keyrings are one of the causes to ignition tumbler failure on these trucks. I would hate to have to hotwire my truck to get to work if it stuck.
