My 06 has leveling kit and cheap a$$ aftermarket rear springs (Dorman) rides Rougher than a rodeo bull. Truck has fuel offset wheels and 35’s on it & really would like to lift it 6” and go with 37’s. I do pull boat trailer occasionally (only 21’ boat) and not too far so I would rather have ride quality than towing ability. What’s best ride lift for this rig?

Check out Carli & Thuren for suspension systems vs a lift kit. Both systems will give you the best ride. Thuren rear springs with their shackles will give you more towing capacity.

Even though they are a 3” kit, with some minor front fender/inner wheel well clearancing, they claim you can run up to a 37” tire with the right back spacing.

I got the Thuren kit and I still had to trim, but I didn't get the correct back spacing for my wheels.

Would 100% do it again.

I don't have the rear leaves though. They are on the list.

Night and day difference between my stock-spring leveled ‘03 and full Carli Backcountry (with the old Bilsteins) on my ‘07. I’ve got a huge double dip intersection close to my house, and rolling much more than 5mph will literally toss everyone inside and butt leaves the seat in my ‘03. In the ‘07 it’s pretty mild.

My Carli is the 3”

On the road, not much of a difference at all. Lots of people will try to sell you on on-road comfort and frankly, they’re lying to you. But when bumps pop up, it’s insane the difference. My ‘03 literally tries to lift the front and the ‘07 just rolls over and absorbs.

I can't speak to Carli's products, but they appear to be solid. I went the Thuren route and have his 3" XS Coils up front, as well as full leafs out back. In addition, you have to run his shackles out back, as was mentioned above, and I use his Sway bar. For shocks I'm just using Thuren's Overland models, which are nothing special, just a solid, stock style shock. I'd like to upgrade to some King shocks one day, but they have an incredible back log of work last I checked.

I am extremely pleased with the ride quality, absolutely amazing compared to stock! My wife drives a late model Suburban, and I'd have to say my 06 Dodge is very comparable ride quality wise.
