there are several people i know around here saying that putting a turbo of a 2005 is bigger and will give more power to my truck then my stock turbo. is there that much of a difference between the 2??
People have said 50hp on top. 60/60/9 vs 54/58/9. Drill and tap a hole for the elbow to the wg and just leave the solenoid in. Otherwise ats sells a plug to go in place of it.
the '05 turbo had a 2mm bigger compressor wheel.
it is capable of higher boost before it goes out of its efficiency range. for a mildly modded truck you will see an advantage but high hp still needs a bigger turbo.
