there are several people i know around here saying that putting a turbo of a 2005 is bigger and will give more power to my truck then my stock turbo. is there that much of a difference between the 2??

anybody? ok about how much power can you make with the stock turbo?
They say there is a benefit, how much, I do not know. And I am unsure of what they are doing with the wastegate (manual vs electronic)

People have said 50hp on top. 60/60/9 vs 54/58/9. Drill and tap a hole for the elbow to the wg and just leave the solenoid in. Otherwise ats sells a plug to go in place of it.
if you can pick up an 05 turbo cheap i would say go for it there is an advantage on top end power and both spool quick.
I got my stock turbo off my 05 for sale with only 50K on it. PM me if your interested
the '05 turbo had a 2mm bigger compressor wheel.
it is capable of higher boost before it goes out of its efficiency range. for a mildly modded truck you will see an advantage but high hp still needs a bigger turbo.
would it help lower my EGT's any?
Might help a little but not much
i guess every little bit help tho.

I'd save a couple more hundred bucks and buy a good water injection system rather than a HE351.
I also have a stocker off my 05 if anybody interested..
