Hello..... new to forum and I hope to get some guidance. I live in central Virginia and this is my first diesel truck. I purchased this truck 3 years ago with 165,000 miles. No modification other than K&N Air filter. Current milage 215,000. Truck went into limp mode last week. Mechanic stated he replaced speed sensor on transmission and all was good for 2 days. First thing that showed up was it acted like a stuck caliper when I pulled off at the stop light and the truck stalled. Started right back up and truck went on just fine. Next light.....when I pulled off, truck was in limp mode. Pulled over, turned the truck off.... waited about 5 min and all was fine. I put in a new speed sensor myself and no change. Truck stalled at first stop and stuck caliper feeling was much worse. Truck free wheels when in neutral with no stuck caliper feeling. Any help would be appreciated.

Check fluid level and condition, on level ground, in neutral, warmed up?
Double check wiring and connectors on trans are clean secure.
Trucks engine and trans is controlled by ECM, I would first check for codes, this will rule out any wiring sensor issues.
Most common issue is governor pressure solenoid and temperature/pressure sensor in trans, but diagnostics would help pin point an issue, rather then just throwing parts at it.
Info for any code diagnostics test are available here.

Thank you. Arrived at work and fluid level is good and within the hashmarks. Stalled twice on the way in to work. No engine light or anything until it stalls. Heading to the mechanic before I get rear ended
