Guys,
Correct me if I am wrong but in 2001 didn't all the H.O CTD engines that had manual transmissions come with a 6 speed? I saw a guy advertising a H.O. with a 5 speed and I think he has a non-H.O. CTD. Am I correct in my thinking?? Thanks a lot guys. Eric.

Unless he swapped the 6speed out but yes only 6speeds same in HO from the factory.

There are some 5 speed Ho trucks on the road. Not real common, but they do exist. I had one in the shop a month or so ago.

But I have seen several others.

^^^^ya, im wondering too, i was always under the impression that until '03 you could only get the H.O. with a 6speed from the factory. Not saying a motor or tranny couldnt have been swapped out, but ive never seen one. someone otta figure this one out.

hmmm...When I bought my truck, the dealer was saying it was an H.O. but I told them they were wrong because its got the 5spd...So they wrote it up as a S.O. and that knocked the value down...not much but its funny lol
