Hello, I'm new to Cummins and I recently bought a 2000 Dodge Cummins, 4x4, Auto Trans, used in Alberta. some of the mods the previous owner had done are
-Fass Fuel system
-AFE Cold Air Intake
-HotRod Injection Pump that's supposed to give it a bit of a lopey Idle.
However I've been having some issues with it recently, It seems to have a bit of a rough idle, a surge in the acceleration although it seems to run fine if you hammer down on the throttle a bit it's just during normal acceleration that it does it. It seems to almost want to die when coming to a stop but as soon as you slow down to about 5km it will return to a normal idle. I will post a link to a youtube video to demonstrate. The only codes I get are for the fuel sending unit which doesn't work(No fuel gauge) and a 1693 code which i discovered lead to a Wastegate overboost code which doesn't make sense to me because the Turbo sounds fine? It only coughs a bit of grey smoke during the initial start up and black when I hammer on it. Any help at all is much appreciated.
