Do these newer 2nd gen 24v trucks come with the check valve on the injector pump? I still need to upgrade to that fuel filter housing because I have to drop my filter out of the bottom.

On the return line? Yes there is one, opens above 15psi. If you are going to upgrade anything on the filter I would not go with another factory set up. Ditch it all together and install a better spin on filter, either something like GDP's or another filter base mounted on the frame.

No, the little valve he pushed to let the air out of the pump? Looked like a valve stem for a tire.

check valve or overflow valve....located on injection pump right next to fuel pressure test port (which im using in priming video). Opens at approximately 97 kpa (14 Psi) and returns fuel to the fuel tank through the fuel return line.(2001 service manual).
