1-2 and 2-3 shuttle shift on ATS 48RE

What's the best way to get rid of the 1-2, and 2-3 shuttle shift? I have a billet ATS trans, minus the Co-Pilot. Occacionally the trans will not shift out of 1st until I let out of the throttle. Which shift controller is best? This shifting thing is driving me nuts!

How about calling ATS? Its obviously a problem with their unit, don't they have a crazy 10 year warranty or something?

Talked to them and was told to check line pressure. Line pressure is in check.

Lower your torque management to 1 or 2 if running SMARTY
and lower the HP level to 3 or 5 and give her a whirl.:thumbsup:

I have my Smarty TNT set on 9 now. The trans should take the power though.

It has nothing to do with the trans able to take the power. I has to do with DD manners. Torque 3 shifts a lot smoother than 4, 2 smoother than 3, etc.

I just installed a Soleniod conversion kit ref the shuttle shift(2,3,2). It seems to work so far. Here is the thread

I will post a follow-up review in about a week. I have my Smarty set on level 8 with torque management on 2.

Sounds like valve body or TSB issue. Had this problem with STOCK tranny. Tried TSB, no luck, replaced VB and wallah!!

I would assume aftermarket, you wouldn't run into this though..
