This is my project I finished, and so far so good. Got about 10k miles and no issues. Tuning has been a learning curve but maybe some input will help based on others who are using a banshee controller.

Hopefully Nick will chime in, he tunes his by shaft speed with an arduino setup. Not sure if his is a vgt, but i believe he has had one.

I used shaft speed, boost and drive pressure along with TPS input.

I dont know what the banshee controller is using now for tuning off of.

It might be cool or it might be a waste, depends on the setup. What kind of fueling mods. What are the specs of the isl vgt? Some of those things are a 56/xx/huge spec turbo that wouldn't be great for a vp truck.

again all depends, I really liked my vgt setup overall.

ive wanted to do a VGT swap from an ISX for the longest theyre really pricey but boy can those things whistle. as far as tuning someone pointed me towards lil blackbox controllers they are way cheaper than fleece or banshee. what turbo did you end up running?
