I have an opportunity to purchase a new tranny to replace my slipping and soon to be worn out transmission. The problem is that it is from a 1997 and my truck is a 2001. Correct me if I am wrong but they both use the 47RE. My question is if they are interchangable. Would the tranny from the 1997 work in my 2001? Are there any electronic issues with the swap?
